John Leedock, MBA
Executive Director & Immigration Specialist

For the past ten years John Leedock has worked in the fields of immigration advocacy, corporate immigration compliance and international education in Chicago, IL and Harrisburg, PA.
Currently John serves as the Executive Director of Compass Immigration Legal Services. In this capacity he manages the daily operations of the Immigration Legal Services Clinic that serves low income clients. He provides legal services to clients and specializes in family reunification and humanitarian immigration law.
John has presented to state and national associations in the United States on topics related to international student and scholar acculturation, immigration compliance for universities and religious organizations, and international education. Additionally he has given lectures at Universities in China and Taiwan regarding the intersection of immigration policy and institutional competitiveness. He currently resides in Harrisburg Pennsylvania with his wife and adopted puppies Moosey and Max.
Christina Szoke-Luo, Esq.
Senior Immigration Attorney
Christina is an immigration attorney specializing in asylum and other types of humanitarian immigration law. Christina's undergraduate and graduate degrees are in history and political science, with concentrations in Russia/Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In law school, she focused on international law and legislative drafting.
Christina also has experience in development and in teaching history and geography in elementary and middle school and at the collegiate level. Since interning at the United Nations, if not before, Christina has been an advocate for the rights of women and children -- especially those who are immigrants or refugees -- and has spent considerable time studying the effects of immigration on women throughout history. She hopes to be able to use her background in law, history, and development to support Compass’ mission.
Richard Morrison
Retired Attorney and College Professor
Immigration Law Training and Citizenship Education

Richard Morrison holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. After 7 years of private practice, he taught at the private college level for much of the next 20 years and served as general counsel to his institution from 1989 through 2008. As such he had primary responsibility for overseeing compliance and risk management, as well as advising senior administration and faculty on all legal issues affecting the college.
Since retirement, he has worked as a consultant for several colleges, spent 4 years as legal advisor to a Christian ministry to Chinese graduate students and scholars studying on U.S. university campuses, and volunteered with Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services. He and his wife especially enjoy spending time with their 4 sons and 11 grandchildren.
Marcela Ruiz
Practice Manager
Marcela Ruiz grew up in Colombia and immigrated to the United States several years ago. Marcela is an accomplished professional in Colombia and the United States and currently serves as the Senior Administrative Director and Director of Notary Services. In this capacity she manages a team of support staff and coordinates with attorneys to ensure all clients have a wonderful experience.
Outside of the office Marcela enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
